Great for older babies

My 8 month old does really well in this. This is SO EASY to clean. I like it much more than the Fisher Price bathtub I had. I was really not happy when I realized I had some kind of buildup on the drainage snap in the Fisher Price tub I had. For some reason they also attached warning labels to it ... So adhesive was near where the baby bathed.

In contrast the Stokke has warning labels on the outside, it's easy to remove the drainage plug and get it really clean, and drain the entire thing completely.

Folds easily and good for small spaces.

Plus Stokke is a company with better quality standards. While I can't really escape the plastic, I do at least feel confident that this is a higher quality plastic.

I would buy again and absolutely recommend it once your baby can sit by themselves! (They need constant supervision in it, but this is true for all baths).

Unstable

Primary reason I'm returning it is that it's unstable. It's more narrow than a bathtub, so even the bathtub can't keep it completely upright. Child stumbled and it almost fell over entirely. I thought I was doing it wrong, but as you can see in the first baby picture, the sides at the end don't stay propped open. I love that it's collapsible, but it's also collapsible on my child.
It is large enough to accommodate toddler legs, so I'll give it credit for that.
The drain is in the middle. Why? All that means is that all the water doesn't drain out and doesn't follow the gravity to the tub/shower stall to drain quickly either.
As others have said, you have to lift the tub to get the black drain stop completely in.
It's a great idea but not fully designed well for use. For travel and folding sure, but not for a baby/toddler use.

i have a standing shower and i bought it for my 5 year old so he can play in the water during bath time. its easy to fold. could be used outside. could even be for bathing a dog. its super compact. it has a drain plug that doesnt come off easy which is good because the water doesnt slowly spill out.

Kind of cool bathtub for kid even almost 6! Even for a dog shower!
Easy to clean easy to fold.
It doesn't holds the temperature. Water cool down fairly quickly, so keeping the whole area warm would be important during taking the bath.

Edit: its been 1 1/2 years from my original reveiw below and this is still in perfect condition, even the plug is still very sturdy AND NO MOLD ISSUES!!!

I do love this but to me the cost was alot( i got the largest one available), this was a big investment around $60 which is alot to me, but im hoping will last years. Ive had it for almost 6 months and so far everything seems great! I use it to bathe my little one and it fits right in my stand up shower sideways just perfectly(9in mickey toy in picture for size reference). I also use it to warm up my little back yard pool, by hauling water in it and dumping it. Its very sturdy but when we haul water, the bottom curves down and almost caves in a little, but weve never dropped a single drop cause it is sturdy plastic with a sturdy plug and nice curved edge for holding the sides. If you fill it up to much when taking long long baths trying to keep the water warm (it does keep water warm for about 20 minites) the sides get a little wobbly and you'll want to remove some water by taking the plug out, for me its almost impossible to put back in and no matter how hard i try theres always water leaking out. My boyfriend can get it in with water but its hard for me so i just use a bucket to get some water out and dont remove the plug till the bath is done. The plug indicates red when the water is burning hot, but it dont turn red unless its scolding hot. The water can still be too hot for my little one and the plug will still be black, so if it turns red that just means the water is scolding and will likely cause a harmful burn. This is a really nice bath overall and i thought looked like the best on Amazon that would last longer than others on the market for the same price, plus i was looking for something that wouldn't mold easily and so far with quickly drying after each use we haven't had any mold. Before this we tried many different types of tube material baths, small pvc pools, dog pools, and totes and they were always very hard to clean every crevice and we would always get mold!
